Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Directors Console (the “Service”) at studio.directors-console.com. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
The Service is an online studio for scripting, pre-production, AI video generation, and editing. Features may change without notice.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information and keep credentials secure.
- We may suspend accounts suspected of abuse.
- The Service is intended for users 18+. Minors may use it only with guardian consent where required.
3. Fees and credits
- Prices and credit amounts for paid plans and packs are as shown on the Plan & credits page and checkout (generally in USD).
- Monthly subscription credits are typically granted per billing period and expire at period end (no rollover).
- One-time credit packs typically expire 2 months after grant (as shown in-app).
- Free signup credits are granted once.
- Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
4. Cancellation
You may cancel a subscription via the Stripe customer portal (or other methods we provide). Access continues through the end of the prepaid billing period (cancel at period end), then the account returns to the free plan.
5. Refunds and credit returns
- Credits used for successful generations (external API usage completed with a result) are not refunded in cash or credits.
- If generation fails due to a system error, consumed credits are returned automatically.
- Except where required by law or approved by us case-by-case, paid amounts are non-refundable.
6. Acceptable use
- No unlawful or harmful use
- No infringement of third-party rights
- No abuse, overload, or reverse engineering of the Service
- Outputs must comply with applicable law and model-provider terms
7. Content and IP
Directors Console does not claim rights in your generated outputs. We do not assert ownership over content you create or upload on the Service. You may publish to YouTube, social media, and similar platforms within each platform's terms and applicable law (you are the publisher). We may host and process content as needed to provide the Service (storage, delivery, generation vendors). Details of AI-output rights and commercial use also depend on model-provider terms (e.g. Google) and law. We do not warrant legality, accuracy, or copyrightability of outputs.
8. Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for outages, third-party API changes, or output quality/legality. If we are liable, our aggregate liability is limited to fees you paid us in the prior 3 months (excluding willful misconduct or gross negligence).
9. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Explainer URL fetch
URL fetch is used only to import page text into your source; we do not use it to monitor browsing or build profiles.
- In explainer projects, we may fetch article text from a URL you provide and place it into the script source field.
- You are responsible for confirming you may view, quote, and reuse the page under applicable law and the site's terms.
- We do not warrant accuracy, completeness, or legality of fetched content. If fetch fails, you may paste text manually.
- URL fetch is separate from Research assist (external web research). By default, generation uses only pasted or fetched source text.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance.
